The charter fee includes the use of the yacht with all equipment in proper working condition, together with tools, onboard stores, cleaning materials, and essential consumables required for the engine room, deck, and interior areas. Crew wages and onboard meals are included. The yacht is insured for marine risks and third-party liabilities, including employer’s liability insurance for the crew.

Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA): the charterer is required to pay an additional amount to cover all running expenses during the charter, charged at actual cost. These expenses may include fuel for the yacht as well as for the RIB and other tenders, food and beverages including soft drinks, wines, beers and spirits, other consumable supplies, marina fees, berthing costs and harbour charges outside the yacht’s base port, pilotage and port expenses, water and electricity taken from shore, laundry services, communication costs such as telephone, fax, radio and Inmarsat, as well as the hire of any special equipment requested by the charterer. Typically, 25–40% of the charter fee is paid in advance as APA to allow the captain to provision the yacht according to the charterer’s requirements, and at the end of the charter, the captain presents a full account of all expenses, with any unused balance refunded or additional costs settled if necessary.
